Comment: Such a relaxing way to travel from Juneau to Ketchikan.
We picked upnour keys from the purser and got settled in our assigned cabin. The cabin was a decent size and comfortable.
Breakfast, lunch and dinner can be purchased. The food was very good. There is also a bar.
Jigsaw puzzles available to solve.
All workers were very friendly and good at their jobs.
It was an excellent journey.

Comment: The ferry to Hollis is great! The people are kind and friendly, very helpful! The ferry is very slow, but it’s very easy to sleep on this ferry as it’s so quiet

Comment: I’d give this 5 stars, but I can’t due to the lack of communication from the ferry line to us before we left and the lack of info we got once we got on the boat. Including the fact that we had to change ferries…but we were told this once we got on the first ferry.
For what it is, it’s good. Don’t get on the ferry thinking that you’re on a cruise ship. The food is all frozen/re-heat stuff. You DO NOT tip the staff as they are all government employee. Many of the folks we met are great and helpful but a few are just punching a clock.
If you’re traveling with pets…be warned. You have to leave them in a crate or your car. you can only see them for bathroom breaks every 6hrs and they get to pee and poop on the car deck..NOT cool.
The views of the inner passage are outstanding and worth the journey. Just be warned that it’s not cheap and bring snacks.

Comment: Amazing staff, helpful and caring crew, this is my 3rd time on the Alaska Marine Highway. You dont need a room! Just bring a warm sleeping bag sleeping pad and a pillow you’ll be comfortable. You can even set up a tent on protected deck area for privacy. I’ve been on the Columbia, Matanuska, and the Kennicott. All wonderful ships!
