Comment: One of the most comfortable ferry rides I have taken. They are quick to load and unload. Ferry is available every 30 mins during summer season. Return ticket (valid for a year) for a car costs 36, seems bit high initially but seeing the facilities provided ( coffee shop, decent toilet, comfy viewing platforms on both sides and the great views of Shannon river ) made it acceptable. The journey takes around 30-40 mins. The ferry terminal on the Killimer side has a decent enough parking and a good cafeteria and a shop to buy some memorabilia.

Comment: The Killimer-Tarbert ferry was a fantastic experience, saved us almost 3 hours of driving on highways and narrow roads. A great shortcut connecting the Cliffs of Moher and the Dingle Peninsula. The service is run by the ShannonFerry Group, which run 2 roll-on, roll-off, car ferries between Killimer and Tarbert on the Ireland’s Wild Atlantic Way. The service was very efficient and punctual. The journey takes about 20 minutes and the online ticket costs €20,70 for a car.

Comment: The Ferry was a treat. They said it would be a 20 minute ride, but it seemed like it was much shorter than that. With two ferry’s running it is a very short wait to cross the channel.
