Comment: Nice pier but too many installations of temporary homes (perhaps for homeless ppl) around the area
Otherwise the sight would have been quite nice at the pier.

Comment: There was a time that the ferry was leaving very soon. I rushed to the pier but found my octopus card has no credits and all i have was just a $20 banknote. I cannot find the machine to reactivate my octopus card. Then there was a staff found me and asked me what happened. I told him and he asked me to follow him. At the beginning, I though he was gonna sell me the ticket manually. Surprisingly, it ended up that he took me inside the station and urged me to get on the ferry quickly. That was how I took a free journey with the kindness of the staff. Taking ferry from Kwun Tong to North Point is the fastest way, much faster and cheaper than bus and MTR.

Comment: In May, street sleepers in Kwun Tong Public Pier had their belongings removed by police officers and officials of the Food and Environmental Hygiene Department.

Comment: An old pier not matching the modernized promenade. If it were decorated, the place would become more attractive. It was occupied by street sleepers with many temporary structures at the moment. No toilets in this pier.

Comment: Quite a sight. It’s more like homes for the homeless than a pier. You can see resident’s use of solar energy on partition top.
