Comment: It was 118° out that day. I really enjoyed our time out on the lake. It was a perfect day despite the heat. Took some floaties and when we stopped we got right in the water. There were 4 of us. I wouldn’t put anymore on the boat we were on considering we had bags and coolers with us. Take SPF 30/15 so you don’t burn. I started with 30. Reapplied 15 and did great. Wear a hat too. It was a bit expensive but worth it in my opinion. Staff was friendly and helpful.

Comment: Great boat tour, highly recommend. This was our second time taking this cruise in a few years. It is a relaxing, educational trip around the lake to the Hoover Dam. It is extremely informative if you choose to listen, if not, sit back and relax and enjoy the beauty of Lake Mead.

Comment: Great views, and a pretty relaxing experience. Unlike most touristy things in and around Vegas, cruising on the Desert Princess was mellow. It’s not overwhelming and loud. When I visited, it had a very family friendly vibe, and still felt like a great place to take one’s sweetheart. Alcohol is served, but there weren’t nary an obnoxious drunkard.
If you board early enough, and have a good sunhat, the best seats are on the top deck infront of the wheel house. The second best spots are in the air conditioned second level, where you can order up a burger and a beer. They’ll bring the food to your table when it’s ready.
It’s just so easy to sit back, relax, take in the views, and contemplate this life where you’ve traveled to the desert, and hopped on a boat, floating in water 500 foot deep.
It is worth the price of admission.

Comment: Soooo relaxing yet extremely fun. We went with 4 kids from 5 months-9yrs old and it was so much fun. Inside is Air conditioning, but you’re free to walk around outside and there are spots on the boat with shade to stand and take in the views.
The food on board is very good priced and HUGE portions. We went on a Saturday and wasn’t too crowded. I would 100% do this again.

Comment: We took a 90-minute sightseeing cruise at noon. Boarding was easy and quick. You have the option to take a photo prior to boarding and purchase it towards the end of your cruise for $10.
The main deck is enclosed and has air conditioned for those hot Nevada days. They have a full bar as well as a snack bar where you can order drinks and food at an additional price. You can sit outdoors on the upper level to get a better view of everything. The ladies at the bar and snack bar are very friendly.
One thing not mentioned when purchasing tickets is that boarding is done at a marina in a national park, so there is a $25 entrance fee if you don’t have a national park pass.
