Comment: Lhasa Gonggar International Airport is one of the largest plateau airports in the world, and T3, which was completed in 2021, is the largest terminal in Gonggar. The T3 terminal has a total construction area of approximately 88,000 square meters and is the largest terminal in Tibet. Viewed from a high altitude, the terminal building is shaped like a snowdrop, symbolizing the “sun and moon in the heart – the eternal Shambhala” pursued in traditional Tibetan culture.

Comment: That’s amazing to see Lasha International Airport Terminal 3 is finally into service. Spacious, bright, tidy, comfortable. It’s far better and bigger than the aggregate of T1 and T2. So excited to see the fast development and progress of Lsaha city every time when I visit back here. The bullet train also came into service this year from Lhasa to Shigatse and Nyingchi. Congrats! Lhasa!

Comment: A small airport which is controlled by Chinese. As with all facilities here they like to control as much as they can over there. So be prepared to let yourself thoroughly checked for no reason and all pages of your passport scanned and put in their system. Staff is rude towards Western travelers.
