Comment: It was a nice little spot to stop. The overgrowth keeps you from seeing a lot of the Ohio River, but it’s got a few trails (man-made) you can walk down to it’s bank.

Comment: It’s just a simple wayside park. The structure there appears to be condemned, an embarrassment to Indiana. This is where young Lincoln landed when he came into Indiana from Kentucky. He worked here as well. His first court case happened here, a huge success for a young man, something that propelled him into his law career.

Comment: Roadside Parks are quickly going out of style
The Lincoln ferry park is a historic treasure in the Rough. In it’s hay day holiday weekends it was packed with camper, boaters, picnics and family reunions.
PLEASE HELP UPDATE AND MAINTAIN THIS HISTORIC LANDMARK.

Comment: Years of abuse by adult children has left it in a pretty bad state of repair and as best I can tell, its not had any real maintenance in years. The shelter house is rotting in many places, the roof is leaking, and the stones have been damaged.
Its still a nice little roadside park though. Worth a visit now and again.
