Comment: Overall it was a horrible experience. When we arrived early to head back to Hong Kong, the terminal was completely flooded with people, multiple queues were beginning everywhere, and there was no clear indication to which queue was going where or why. We ended up waiting over 3 hours in our queue before departing.
TIP: On the departure ticket make sure to be clear on which ferry terminal and time you are departing. Because the terminal you arrive at may not be the same one you depart from. For the timing, ONLY ARRIVE 1 hour before your departure time written on your ticket regardless of what your salesperson told you. We were told we could depart any time before 10:30 (which was our departure time stated on the ticket). However, this is not the case. We could only depart at the exact timing and our queue only begins half an hour prior. So if you think you would like to reach Hong Kong earlier, sorry that won’t be happening. (If anything, please clarify with the salesperson on the spot)
I hope this helps vacationers in future that may not be fluent in cantonese or mandarin. Hopefully so that vacationers will not have to go through the agony of waiting with shopping bags, lost and confused as I have.
Cheers

Comment: After getting off the boat, a short walk to the immigration hall. Signs are clear and easy to follow.
Immigration process is very fast as they probably assume every visitor is there for “visiting” purposes. No question, no facial check against your passport. They just scan the passport, wait for the machine to print a piece of paper and stick it in your passport. Done, you are good to go.
They throw your passport back to you. I found it quite rude the way they do it (kind of like “here you go, get out of my sight” type) but upon entering/departing Macau and observing them, I learned that this is done by every immigration officer.
