Comment: The boat ride was decent, and we were lucky with a very sunny weather which made the experience nicer! It’s was just the 2 of us in the boat which made it peaceful.
The price is 700 MXN, fixed, per hour, per tajinera.
Ok the negative side, I am not sure why they are called the floating gardens as we didn’t really see that. There were lots of boats around trying to sell us things constantly, which can be annoying as they don’t allow you to enjoy the ride.

Comment: Few things to note: the boat rides are per hour for the whole boat (not per person), would recommend picking up drinks before so that you have some to drink before getting to the main part of the river, if you like music bring along a speaker, best time would be around 11-noon but okay if you have to go later.

Comment: A good experience. I was a little sceptical going in, the cost was a bit vague and I felt like a walking ATM for people to approach but that was fleeting. The experience overall was great, especially once we got going and saw all the other boats having fun – great to see so many people all having fun. Practical tips – price is per boat and advertised at 750 per hr but we paid 500 per hr (750 for a 90 min trip). We got a taxi there and didnt take a pre-done tour, it worked fine for us.
There was no wait time.
Only downside is be prepared to be approached to buy things, drinks, pay for music….etc. But if you roll with that all is good and it’s a great experience.
Other reviews mantioning the water cleanliness… it’s a canal. The same as we have in the UK. Not crystal clear fake water for tourists but a genuine working canal system.

Comment: The prices for 2024 are MXN750 per hour,per trajinera whether you are 1 or 18 people. The price is established for everyone and they show us the official government sign that establishes the price. We went on a Monday, now it depends on what you like but for us it was perfect as it was not full of other people, but still you experience the trip with other families without being crowded and you still receive full attention from the different vendors, souvenirs, drinks and food. Just be aware that unless you buy something that you can only find there, most of the souvenirs are cheaper at places like the city center.
We ask for a bucket of drinks (soft and beers) and at the end you pay only what you consume, the driver of the trajinera was really helpful
