Comment: The ferry service people are so kind and patient with us non residents.
I suggest reservations as soon as you can make them for this time of year (late Sept.) As the ferry only holds about 10 cars/trucks.
These people are tetris masters.

Comment: Bass Harbor ferry terminal is the Best! Bob runs a tight ship with keeping passengers informed. Runs the place in a responsive and friendly way … Very different from other governmental agencies.

Comment: The ferry ride was great. We did not have a reservation so we arrived at 9:45 for the 11:00 ferry which started loading at 10:30. We loaded 2nd with our car and got one of the front two spaces. Once on the ferry you can get out and walk around on the dock or you can go up to the one of the balconies on each side. There are also seating rooms with benches on the main level.
