Comment: We rode the ferry this past Monday but didn’t actually go in the terminal. It was such a smooth and easy process! Kudos! I checked online the night before and it was wide open and most of the spots were still open by the time we got there the next morning and checked the schedule to see which ferry we wanted to catch. Easy directions getting on and off the ferry. We got there 10 minutes before maybe? Well, got in line anyway. We were there but visited the lighthouse and walked on the beach for a bit before heading over and getting our tickets and getting in line. We highly recommend visiting the lighthouse. We visited the cafeteria on the boat, which didn’t open until 11, and the second floor deck. Then it was time to get back in the car! We have both ridden ferries before but this was our first time driving and it was a perfect experience. We didn’t use the facilities so I can’t speak to those but everywhere we went was very clean.

Comment: We were surprised that it didn’t take long to get across. It was my first time riding the ferry. It was clean, fast, & efficient getting across. Just sufficient time to grab a quick coffee at the snack bar or to use the bathroom or snap a few photos.
We visited on a weekday. No waits going over but a long lineup for Friday afternoon travelers going over. There are frequent sailings at a reasonable price.

Comment: The ferry is a fantastic way for water crossings as opposed to the drive around option. The ferry operation is wonderfully smooth and the ride is pleasant. The ferry also offers a very nice sightseeing opportunity as well. We quickly became proficient in the scheduling website which as helpful.
