Comment: 1 bus company on the island and one bus per hour. 1 ferry company on the island and one ferry every almost 1h30.
Where is it difficult to match the 2 timetables to allow the passengers to arrive more than 2 minutes before the departure of the ferry ?
Been told be by a SeaLink staff that they can not do nothing about that they can not report this illogical process. Sorry so who can ? Can’t you discuss this with the bus company ?
Another lack of common sense from the Australian services. A shame for a place that touristic.

Comment: Pre purchased return tickets to Magnetic Island 2 months in advance. Arrived 15 minutes early for the 9.30am ferry & joined the queue, only to be told that it was at capacity & they wouldn’t be taking any more passengers. Then had to wait another hour for the next one. No one was helping with the queue to ensure those that were turned away from the 9.30am ferry were first in line for the 10.30am, people were pushing in. Was told they had changed their system & we had to go to the bar on the ferry to have our tickets updated.
On the return trip (24 hrs later), the tickets were scanning up as being used. We were told by a rude staff member that we couldn’t sort this on board & had to go to the ticket desk. Luckily this staff member printed new tickets for us, as we almost missed the ferry back. Way more stressful than it should have been considering the expensive price for a short 20 minute trip.

Comment: I have edited my review as there was an update, I had a bad experience, where the boat left before their own time table stated, leaving me to wait for another 1.5hr, on return the driver personally apologized and everyone was compensated with chips and drink from the bar.
