Comment: Allow at least two hours to check in as soooo slow. A bit of advice – stop at a toilet well before you arrive. Their are toilets but takes two hours to get through ( on a Sunday )

Comment: I’m extremely disappointed. I’ve been travelling from UK to Belgium every month for past year. Using p&o. And I know you have to arrive early as delays might be expected. Today I arrived 1.5 h early (12:15)to the p&o check in. I was there waiting in a queue of cars as they had only one window open. In the end employee told me I Missed my ferry . It was 12:59 when I finally got to her. She said I have to take next ferry as it is too late and border control will take a long time. I was done with border control at 1:20 . My ferry was supposed to go at 1:45 so I had plenty of time to get there. But I didn’t know the lane as this employee transferred me to a later ship. I’m extremely angry and disappointed and I will use Eurotunnel from now on and I will discourage everyone I know from using P&O services as this is extremely unprofessional how they treat their customers. I’ll also file a formal complaint on their website.

Comment: Very poor service, arrived 2 hours early at Calais, way before our ferry was due to depart for Dover.
This was on the 31st of August 2024 at 16:30hrs. Long story short, we never left Calais until 23:00hrs.
Absolutely no point of contact/information. Sat at the port for 6 and half hours.
We searched and searched for someone to tell us what’s was going on, and when we eventually found a member of staff, they were indifferent, lacked any empathy, and were rude.
There was no food for our little boy, as the only cafe there had sold out of baguettes.
I can continue, but this would end up a rant.
Needless to say, I would never use P&O again, nor would I recommend to friends or family.

Comment: 2nd Sept 24: Absolute chaos!!!
We normally take the tunnel but it was more than twice the cost so opted for the ferry, boy do I regret that decision.
The queuing system on two occasions has four lanes of cars converging into two lanes. So you need to be slightly but politely pushy.
We arrived with 2 1/2 hours spare and would have arrived earlier in hindsight.
Tunnel next time regardless of cost.

Comment: P&O ‘new terminal’.
Unbelievable.
The place is nearly empty yet we had queues everywhere!
Gents toilet in shop (which is not open till 09h30) had only 1 WC, both urinals out of service.
Ladies were queuing out the door.
What on earth will this be like in the summer?
