Comment: Caught the ferry to Bell Island from here. The boat ride is roughly 20 minutes and, with good weather, is very lovely. (Attached are videos of my trip). I arrived early so, prior to departure, I waited in a sitting area next to a small waterfall (see videos). Overall, buying my ticket, boarding, and travelling on the ferry was a very easy process.

Comment: It is an impressive, remote island worth visiting, full of recent history. However, you CAN NOT rely on the ferry schedule. Be prepared to spend more time than planned waiting for your departure. Nobody will notify you if there is a delay!

Comment: They were Cash only, so be prepared. Forgot prices but under $20 for 3 people + car for a return trip. There are 2 ferries and they don’t always leave on time so watch your time and don’t over schedule.

Comment: Ferry is on time and smooth. Found the entry confusing – line up at the top for tickets, only to drive down to a second line up at another ticket booth. Be warned that the second lane there isn’t to go around the second booth if you’ve bought a ticket at the first booth, apparently you all wait in line again (I went around the one car in front of me thinking I was holding up a line I wasn’t supposed to be in). I will say though that when they correct you, they are still polite about it! A less confusing layout would help, surely I can’t be the only one who doesn’t understand lining up at a second ticket booth. Or maybe I am and I’m the only one this has happened to ♀️

Comment: Still advertising new ferry with wrong date of starting service. Supposed to have arrived in February but still not there. Long wait on other side. Poor passenger control measures people were walking all over car deck during ooading and ferry staff seemed to not care. Hopefully people won’t have to walk down the middle of the car ramp when a new ferry arrives (if the ever get it working properly).
