Comment: Rec Station is an incredible business to work with, the staff are all super knowledgeable and helpful. Whether you’re there to buy a new or used boat or power sport or just some accessories, they will help you in any way they can. I have purchased there many times and have never felt like a got a bad deal, they make it pretty crystal clear and painless to do any business whatsoever. Will highly recommend to others and will continue to be a loyal customer.

Comment: – We spoke to Levi at Rec Station for a few weeks prior to finding a boat we liked and decided to work with them on purchasing our first boat. Looking back, I wish we’d have went elsewhere.
– First they fought us on the bamini top, and troller motor even though it was pictured and listed on the listing of the boat on their website and Facebook.
– They will not start a boat unless paperwork is out to be bought, but we had to let the owner (Shawn) physically ride our motorcycle before giving us a price for trade in.
– Guaranteed a full service on our boat by their mechanics who “were the best in the country,” and told us they couldn’t sell us a boat that did not run. Went on and on about their checklist and how they go through EVERYTHING on every boat.
– When we showed up to buy the boat, they told us they had already started it and it was running fine, when we asked to have it started the battery was not hooked up, and when they hooked up the battery- it was bad and had to be replaced- indicating they didn’t have it started or ran through before we got there.
– When things were going south with the battery and so forth- Shawn disappeared into his office and we did not see him until after all our loan paperwork was signed. Which is when he informed us that he would take care of us if it didn’t run. (Clearly we were worried because you can’t go out and test run one of their boats like you can with a car, ect.)
– When our boat did not run correctly- an alarm/ noise was going off when we got up to speed- we checked the fuel filter first- which was dated 2017. We let them know and they sent a fuel filter- that we paid shipping for.
– When that did not work, and the issues with our boat got progressively worse and would not get up to speed or plain out- Charlie told us “they can not do anything for us until we brought them the boat” when asked if we’d be charged for repairs they said “we can’t tell you that” like after spending a total of $23,500 (including the trade off value of our motorcycle) wasn’t enough? Of course we didn’t want to bring them the boat to be charged even more.
– We asked to speak directly to Shawn- after he said he would take care of us if the boat didn’t run, we were told he was too busy to take a call and never returned our message.
– After doing a “full service” ourselves of replacing spark plugs, spark plug wires, ignition coil, distributor cap and rotor, and a carburetor rebuild, our boat runs fine.
– Overall, their salesman (Levi) was very pushy and unknowledgeable. Looking back at our experience we wish we would have walked away when the battery wasn’t hooked up.
– Looking at other unsatisfied reviews, We’ve noted that Shawn has no problem responding to them as if the customers were at fault, but throughout this entire experience he has shown no effort in trying to rectify this experience.
– After learning an extremely frustrating lesson, over a month later they are contacting us regarding the motorcycle’s title that they haven’t received from Harley, asking us to call and figure out why- even though we signed the paperwork stating it was theirs and will be sent to them. I don’t understand how they are expecting us to do anything to rectify their problem after our problem was clearly unimportant to them. Being a business owner myself, I know how important it is to guarantee your work, and products being sent out of your business. I’ve thought long and hard about posting this review and I would absolutely not recommend wasting time or hard-earned money at this dealership.

Comment: We purchased our Bennington Pontoon a few years ago. The experience was at the tail end of Covid and we had to wait for parts to become available for them to build the boat. Different sections came in, a motor here a trailer there. We had a sense of humor about it. In the time the boat was being built, the price had increased on the manufacturer’s end. We all worked together to be fair about the pricing. Shawn and his staff are very personable and want their customers to be happy with their service. We take our boat to them for storage and fall and spring service. Communication has been great and we love knowing that the boat is going in, being properly taken care of and we can pick it up and hit the water without hassle. The pricing is reasonable and comparable to what I pay when we take our vehicles in for the same thing. I would highly recommend their service.
