Comment: Late May visit on a Sunday, after missing the first ferry of the day on Saturday due to overcrowding. They don’t run it frequently enough and therefore passengers get left behind. Seemingly no policy re the amount of junk some campers bring on so the loading process is hectic. Lots of poorly behaved dogs so be careful. Will not use again, given overcrowding and lack of enforced policies.

Comment: Weather didn’t work out. Ferry was taking only camping people. Even pictures look sunny, waves were up to sky! Very choppy. Price for a ferry $11. I think cash only.

Comment: I loved riding the Karfi ferry back in the 1960’s when I was a kid, and it was just as fun a few days ago when I returned for a 2nd visit

Comment: Short, smooth ride to the island. Just make sure you know ferry schedule otherwise if you miss one you need to wait for an hour for the next one.

Comment: The staff was incredibly helpful in getting our gear on and off the ferry, and helping us check in to the campsites. The ride itself is an easy 10-15 minute cruise from Washington Island to Rock Island.
