Make sure that you reserve your place on the ferry, during the season (summer).
Ferries are nicely equipped. One can both buy food and drinks, or bring own.

Comment: These are trips I take 2 to 4 times a year, both from Rødbyhavn to Puttgarden, and return, and Gedser to Rostock. The trip from Gedser to Rostock may take a little longer, but a crossing of about 2 1/2 hours. However, the food on board is nothing to complain about, as long as you choose the right restaurant.

Comment: Just as Scandlines always leaves 15 minutes late, they could also leave on time. Staff very friendly, food very good, ship clean but partly unkempt, windows dirty, far too expensive and the docking maneuver took over 10 minutes with hardly any wind. Maybe the ship’s command should practice this without passengers. Despite the fuel surcharge, we drove slowly and didn’t make up for any delays.

Comment: No card payment possible, supposedly in the whole of Europe of course, every gas station in Denmark, Sweden, Norway worked ✅, except on the ferry you are not allowed to go to the car to get cash
