Comment: The passenger ferry from Townsville docks here when it arrives into Nelly Bay. It is approximately a 20-25 minute trip between Magnetic Island and Townsville. The ferry runs about every hour 7 days/week!

Comment: This ferry service has fast efficient ferries with cafe options at each terminal. The ferries are clean and rarely have delays. Overall a great experience with good views from the upper deck.

Comment: Ferries run consistently on time with rare delays. The Nelly Bay Terminal has a large waiting area with seats, bag lockers, toilets and two cafe options on site (one coffee cart and one Cafe-in-a-wall). It’s also right in front of the bus terminal and the taxi rank for easy access to get around the island. There are also a vending machine available for any snacks you may need while waiting.
Opposite the terminal you are in walking distance of car hire, IGA as well as accommodation at Peppera Blue on Blue.

Comment: The island I visited after 20 years had undergone significant changes and modernization. Around the terminal, there were restaurants, cafes, and supermarkets.
