Comment: I really enjoyed the different ferry ⛴ rides I took over the laft few days to manly and many other locations I took many pictures and videos while taking the different ferrys and very reasonable prices and always on time as well. I would definitely travel this way again and right near the opera house in circular Quay!!?

Comment: Sea Link is our favourite ferry company from Half Moon Bay Ferry Terminal to Waiheke Island Kennedy Point Ferry Terminal.

We usually park our car near Half Moon Bay Ferry Terminal where there are plenty of parking space. The price of one-way ferry ticket is NZD27 for adults. Return ticket to Half Moon Bay costs NZD28. If you are students, you will have a discounted price. If you are SuperGold Card holders, you can apply for Auckland Transport Gold Cards. All AT Gold card holders enjoy free ferry ride after 9am every day.

Staff are all very friendly and helpful. I usually have chats with them on the ferry.

There are not many people taking ferry to Waiheke Island from Mondays to Thursdays so you are advised to take a ferry to the beautiful island except Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays.

We highly recommend you to take your car with you for a long weekend trip as it costs only NZD400 for trips to Waiheke Island and back to Half Moon Bay.

Comment: It’s where you get yourself, and if required, your car on the ferry. Easy enough transition. Again, no cash accepted, ridiculous plastic shields around the staff (it’s not a bloody bank, and what would a criminal possibly take, eftpos receipts?) No waiting area to speak of.
It’s worth noting that there was a lovely new jetty alongside this departure area, I’m not sure, but I assume it belongs to a different (nicer) ferry company. When tickets cost $30 per person one way, you’d really expect something a bit less run down. Perhaps they could consider doing less sailings, thereby cutting costs and having more passengers on each boat and somehow accrue enough to make the terminals a bit more inviting. Can’t fault the actual sailing, though.
