Comment: Made online booking for same day ferry tickets to Macau Outer Harbour via Klook in December 2023. Upon payment, it took about 40 minutes to receive an e-mail with QR code. QR code needs to be scanned at 2nd floor self-service machine to exchange for tickets, then walk through customs nearby for boarding. Easy breezy

Comment: If you’re looking for a hassle-free and efficient way to travel between Hong Kong and Shekou, the Shekou Cruise Center is an excellent option.
Unlike some other ports, this place is not as crowded and boasts a shorter waiting time for check-in and immigration clearance, making your travel experience smooth and efficient. You can even check in for your departing flights from Hong Kong International Airport directly, eliminating the need for a separate trip to the airport.
Ferry tickets are conveniently sold through vending machines that accept UnionPay credit cards, AliPay, and cash. If you are unsure on how to proceed, there are many staff members around the ticket machines (who speak fairly good English) who can assist you with your purchase.
There are also many food choices here, including a KFC along other local restaurant chains, and free public Wifi within the terminal building for you to stay connected. The toilets are also some of the cleanest toilets I’ve ever seen.

Comment: Totally overlooked and underrated port of entry/exit. Rarely crowded, relatively fast immigration clearance and shortened travel time to/from HK and Shekou, Shenzhen.
Possible to check-in for flights departing from Hong Kong airport for a hassle free transfer. Not all airlines offer this option though (such as Finnair…)

Comment: The building was very impressive, and the interior was very clean and modern. The staff were very helpful when I didn’t know how to use the ticket machine. By the way, if you live in Shenzhen, this is the best way to get to Hong Kong airport.
