Comment: Shepler’s Ferry was an absolute disaster. Starting with overall experience of trying to park. When you arrive, you are directed to drive to a parking lot roughly a mile away in which you can take a shuttle to ferry. However, you are dropped off to where the ferry boards. From there, we walked 1/2 the way back just to get in line. Once we were boarded onto the boat, we decided to go topside and take our seat. The captain called over the intercom that due to the wind, we would see “a misting” of water. That was not the case. We were drenched. Every square inch of our bodies was soaked. Upon arriving at the island, we immediately made a B-line to a shop to buy dry clothes. It seems like this is part of the business plan as this store knows it can charge whatever it wanted because on a 70-degree day, no one wants to walk around in damp clothes. I would not recommend this to anyone as this made for one of the worst experiences I have ever had while on vacation.

Comment: We used this fairy service to Mackinaw Island. There was no wait going or coming back. The crew was very friendly. They have a shuttle service from their remote parking lot, which is very nice. Their schedule has several times to choose from.

Comment: Took the boat late September 2024. The sea was smooth and it took us around 17 min to travel from the island to the mainland. Very nice ride and fun for the kids!

Comment: The only way to Mackinac Island…. literally! Located in Mackinaw City, and I believe a dock in St.Ignace too! Very busy all season long, peaking at Labor Day weekend! Not too pricey, family friendly even. The dock on the island can get even busier, so be prepared and plan ahead! Try Sheplers today!
