Riding the Sistersville Ferry was a delightful experience! This historic ferry, running since 1815, offers a charming and scenic 5-minute trip across the Ohio River. Our journey was made even more special by a local guitarist serenading us on board. The views were stunning, and the staff was friendly and welcoming. Highly recommend for a unique and memorable trip connecting Sistersville, WV, and Fly, OH!

Comment: Hard to really give this a fair review because I called the number to find out if it was operating, and got a recorded message that said “our hours are Thursday through Sunday, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.” It was Friday, so I said, “cool, let’s go”. We rode three hours only to get there and find that the ferry was closed for the season. Would have been nice if it said that somewhere on the website or in the recorded message. It looked like it would be a nice little ride across the river, but I guess I’ll have to wait for next year to find out.

Comment: Only $5! Great way to save time when wanting to get to WV from OH or OH to WV. You don’t have to drive miles out of your way to find a bridge. Plus you get a unique perspective and view from your car while crossing the mighty Ohio River on the Sistersville Ferry ⛴
