Comment: A highly convenient method to access Hong Kong International Airport (HKIA) from Macau is by utilizing the hotel shuttle bus service. The shuttle departs from the hotel in Macau and proceeds to the HZMB port (bridge). Upon arrival at the port, passengers should proceed to the upper floor towards the Departure hall, as the hotel shuttle stops at the Arrival hall.
At the Departure hall, there are two bus counters. The regular bus requires passengers to carry their luggage, while the HKIA bus offers more privileges to those flying with specific airlines, including Cathay Pacific, JAL, HK Express, China Airlines, and others. Please note that this information may be subject to change over time, so it is advisable to recheck before traveling.
As I was flying with Cathay Pacific, I opted for the HKIA bus. The fare was 280 MOP or HKD (please note that HKD coins are not accepted, only notes). After purchasing the ticket, I was able to load my luggage and receive a boarding pass, similar to the process at an airport.
Following this, I proceeded downstairs and followed the green line marked “To Hong Kong.” This led me to the immigration area, where there was a waiting area (without food and beverage options) for passengers to gather before boarding time.
The bus journey from the port to HKIA, SkyPier, takes approximately 40-45 minutes. Upon arrival at SkyPier, passengers are required to present their passport and boarding pass for immigration clearance once again. It is important to note that any bottled water in possession must be consumed or discarded before proceeding, as it is not permitted through security.
Finally, a shuttle train is available to transport passengers to all gates within the airport. This makes the overall travel experience from Macau to HKIA very convenient and straightforward.
Nevertheless, it would have been more helpful if they had provided clearer and more detailed information about this on the website. Although I visited the website multiple times, I only learned about it when I inquired at the counter at the HZMB port.

Comment: Quick and efficient way to transit to the Mainland while skipping Hong Kong customs. However the website is not easy to use and it’s not clear how the process works so let me share with you how to transit:
1. Upon departure look for signs to “Mainland/Macao” and follow those to the ticket counter for CKS Ferries
2. If you pre-bought they will issue a boarding pass OR buy a ticket when you walk up
3. Wait in the seating area until roughly 20 minutes prior to departure and line up at the gate agent
4. After scanning your boarding pass you will descend an elevator and take a 5 minute tram ride to the dock.
5. There is a waiting area at the dock with seating, restrooms, and a single 7-11 store to purchase snacks
Overall decent experience but not easy for a first-timer.

Comment: I have travel to Macau on 27 April last month by bus via Hong Kong International airport. I thought it was convenient having the airport service to transit over. Upon receiving my bag via Skypier transit holding area I notice my baggage was damaged.
Immediately the staff hand over Indemnity Release Form asking us to sign which we refuse and make official complaint. The reply we get is as good as not reply and no one is responsible for it. We are also not given any acknowledgement or damage report for us to claim from travel insurance.
Please if you want to travel to Macau from Hong Kong think again if you want to use this service. As you have no channel to make complaint there and then as you are in the bus holding area and the airport staff will claim that Skypier staff responsobility and vice versa which you will go in circle without stop!

Comment: Very nicely build area. The ferry system and terminals are proper and process is extremely streamlined and nice . So you can go ahead and book your ferries and go to your places you want to go. Ferries to shenzhen macau etc are the most popular ones. Shenzhen is more of an IT HUB and mostly consists of the offices and all. Macau is the travelling destination consisting of many casinos and some other destinations as well and is a nice place to visit

Comment: Can seem a bit chaotic at busy periods. Arrive early as tickets get bought up by scalpers so you’ll have to pay a premium if you want to hop on the ferry last minute. Otherwise, come early to buy your ticket and grab a meal.
