Comment: Our trip to the Faroe Islands went well but with a lot of waves, which you can really feel in the cabins on floor 5.
Fortunately the reception can give you some pills for seasickness or sell you the complete box.
The little shop inside the ferry is nice, there are interesting tourist things to buy.
The buffet at the Nóatún restaurant is really poor, there is very little choice and some things like fries, nuggets or pizzas are reserved for children. They serves pretty much the same things at each meal.
I would advise not to take the buffet but rather to buy meals like burgers or others.
The animation on board the ferry is very nice, there are a lot of things to do.
I would have liked to have informations on the car deck when there are big waves, in order to know if everything is going well

The return in the Nordic Deluxe cabin was completely different from the two-berth cabin, the bed was huge, the cabin beautiful and the minibar offered with a few drinks and snacks. There were also fewer waves and generally you felt the waves much less on the 8th floor where the Nordic Deluxe cabin was located than on floor 5.

Comment: I had the best time travelling with Smyril to Faroe islands and also to Iceland. We had the best night with live music thanks to the boat musician Rowin. You can rest and enjoy a the jacuzzi and the rooms are comfortable. Only thing that the food isn’t too good and prices were high. All the staff is friendly and kind. Thanks to Thomas at the lanterna magica who took well care of us.

Comment: We travelled from Hirtshals – Iceland – Faroes – Hirtshals. Yes it’s expensive, but we wanted to take our own car from the UK, so we could camp.

The journey one way from Hirtshals to Iceland is very long, but we found the ship very comfortable. We did pre book some lunch and dinner options, but this isn’t necessary. I wouldn’t book the cheaper buffet lunch, you can buy meals or snacks for cheaper prices. The bar on the top deck was lovely, again, not the cheapest, but you are travelling to one of the most expensive countries, so we expected it.

We purchased the Internet and it worked fine. Not mega fast, but enough to do some teams voice calls, social media and Netflix streaming.

All in all a very pleasant journey and would highly recommend it if you want to take your own vehicle.

Comment: We had to leave the cabins two hours bevor arrival and were told to wait at the car deck another half an hour after arrival!

Also most furniture on the ferry is incredibly uncomfortable except for the very expensive Laterna Magica. The food situation on board is a joke, the shop useless and the very expensive Internet doesn’t load a simple picture most of the time.

Considering the price, it is a very bad experience.

Comment: Only possibility to go to Iceland by car. 2 days travel at sea, so hope the winds at the Atlantic are gentle
