Comment: Sorrento ended up being one of those placed that had me instantly enamoured, if you’re arriving here with a ferry it’s quite a sight to behold, the food here is amazing, the sightseeing opportunities are next to none, you will not be short of activities here.

Sorrento is fairly affordable too, the food isn’t that expensive even in tourist trap restaurants, the local food is increadible and as fresh as you can imagine.

I will absolutely have to come back here in the future, if you’re on the fence on wether you should go here, i promise you, you will have an amazing time.

— Worth going? —
☑ YEEEEES
☐ No

— Level of tourism —
☐ Extremely Busy
☐ Very Popular
☑ Not too bad
☐ Pretty Quiet

— Notes —
There’s tourists for sure but it was nowhere near as bad as Central Naples, if you can rent a scooter or a car and drive around you’ll surely get some increadible views.

— Beaches —
Most Beaches are privatised meaning you’ll have to pay to get in, there’s very few free beaches here.

Comment: Best place to stay if you want to see Amalfi coast. Sorrento itself is a nice and very beautiful. You will see Lemon and orange tress full of fruits everywhere if you visit in summer. You can take ferry to islands like capri and ischia from here. Takes less time than Naples. Car parking is very costly, 25 euros per day. But amazing place, artistic old city and roads full of shops with all things lemon in it. Do not forget to buy Lemoncelo and Lemon soaps!

Comment: One person checks the tickets of hundreds of people in a disorderly manner. The rules are changed at will and the service is pathetic like most Italians. A pitiful and unappealing place. Shame.

Comment: Don’t get the attraction. Place has been ruined by greed and privatisation. €60 to even get near the sea and lovely views of scaffolding. Some clear water but mostly dirty from all the boats. Can only swim in small areas.
