Comment: We really had a fun time on our cruise! You can do the dinner cruise and you’ll be seated on the main level which is enclosed and includes a wonderful buffet and a DJ! If you choose the sunset cruise without buffet, you’ll be seated outside on the upper deck and can order from the menu. I compared prices of both options and felt the buffet was a better deal, especially considering that there is a professional team of chefs preparing it and everyone raves about it. They aren’t wrong – the food was incredible! If you’re like me, you hear the word buffet, and you cringe a little inside. But I took a chance and it was worth it! Dinner comes with several courses including dessert. We really enjoyed the food and drinks. We did have a waitress but in her defense she was running a lot of tables so it was a bit slow. We had the option to access any of the bars on the ship, which was a plus. Once we ate, we explored the ship and enjoyed the views from the top deck. The sunset was amazing over the Adirondacks from the middle of Lake Champlain. Worth every penny for the views and memories with my family! Ended the cruise with some dancing, too!

Comment: We did the dinner cruise. The buffet was OK . Next time we would do the sunset cruise and order from that menu. Coffee is horrible! And ridiculously prices. Drinks expensive and only so so. The cruise its self was nice. The buffet room was cold. The music was way way too loud. The crew were fantastic. The women’s restroom needed one of the stalls cleaned. There were a crazy amount of spiders all over. But that’s understandable kind of. Sitting outside was the best.

Comment: A wonderful champagne brunch on this beautiful ship while cruising lake Champlain. Service was awesome. My only complaint was that the menu stated that there would be blueberry buckle and corned beef hash and neither were on the buffet.

Comment: The Spirit of Ethan Allen puts together a very nice sightseeing cruise. The tour is audio narrated and allows you to see some of the best parts of Lake Champlain. The tour explains both interesting geographical places on the lake and also provides information about historical sites on the lake. Some of the sites you see include Red Rocks, Valcour Island, Mount Mansfield, the Champlain Thrust, and the city of Burlington. Of course they have a little bit about the famous lake monster; Champ!
You should purchase tickets ahead of time for the cruise you want. Arrive early as parking along the waterfront can be tricky. Plenty of food and drinks available on the ship. Prepare to have a nice time seeing the best of Lake Champlain.

We opted for a sunset cruise on our visit. We boarded the Spirit of Ethan Allen around 6pm for a 6:30 departure on a 2 1/2 hour long cruise. The staff of the Ethan Allen were very accommodating and were quick to fulfill our food and drink requests.
While on board we ordered a French dip au jus and a Lobster Roll along with a Cheese board starter. The cheese board contained an assortment of cheeses with sweet jelly and crackers which made for a delightful combination. The Au Jus sandwich and lobster roll both were delicious. Prices for all the food was reasonable.
If you decide to book, I must recommend the sunset cruise! We were treated to some real stunning visuals as the sun went down over the mountains!
