Comment: I use this crossing a lot to go back and forth to my job in Germany – the Stena line is efficient and the Hoek of Holland terminal is easy and direct to get to – The Stena Check on team are helpful and friendly and it’s nice to see the same faces – the Border Police are efficient and friendly and helpful – coming in to the terminal the Douane Zoll team are friendly and efficient and polite – And are a good reflection on the Dutch people –

Comment: Highly recommended. We sailed on the overnight Stena Hollandica. The crew are so happy in their work. Always smiling and polite. We will certainly be travelling with them again. The cabin was lovely, food is great. I would like to give a special mention to the polite young lady named Iris who was working in the restaurant on our night crossing departing Harwich on 21st August 24. She was so polite and helpful and is a credit to your crew who operate on this vessel. 10/10 in all aspects. Well done to you all. See you again soon when we commence our next European bike tour.

Comment: Good service, you can get the cabin before prior booking, and we had our ferry beginning august towards England. Makes more sense than getting lounge access which is apparently does not have comfortable seats. Fast internet (you need to pay for it) and pleasant looking cabin. However on the way back to NL we did not have a chair by the table and were told to ask restaurant if we can get one from there which we found weird.

Comment: I have used the Hoek van Holland/ Harwich (vice versa) Car/ Passenger Ferry many times for business & pleasure.
Overall the service is good. From the Site Managers guiding you into Lanes to the Attendants helping you drive onto the Ferry. The Rooms a generally clean and as comfortable as can be. Passenger Lifts do get busy and become pinch-points at embarking & disembarking times.
If you can, always take the overnight crossing. I’ve done the daytime & the overnight and if you don’t have a cabin at very busy times there is literally nowhere to sit!
Sadly what lets Stena Line down is the overpriced meagre portions of food. The quality is also very substandard. My best advice is to bring your own food on board then after leaving the vessel find a decent Cafe on your journey, where service, price and quality will be far superior. You’ll also be supporting local economies.
Bon Voyage!

Comment: Better experience than the other end (Harwich)
Staff are more friendly and helpful and they are not as strict with timing as the Harwich port which they made us loose our ferry and pay again for the following day.
Thanks Hoek van Holland
