Comment: Breathtaking trip from Bergen, Norway to Flåm. Took the 8:00 AM ferry for a trip through the Sognefjord. The trip is 5.5 hours one way and full of beauty. From the majestic hills that tower over you to the sparking water all around. The boat has some basic food service, comfy seats, standing room on the back outer deck, and restrooms. There is also the convenience of buying a ticket on board if you decide to go last minute. The voyage may be long but the views can’t be beat and they go out of their way to show you one of the most incredible waterfalls in the area. Once in Flåm you have the option of booking the Flåmsbana train to Myrdal WHICH SHOULD NOT BE MISSED. You can then return on the Flåmsbana to Flåm and catch the Norled Ferry or take the fast train back from Myrdal to Bergen. You arrange all this in Flåm at the visitors center they are very helpful!! I didn’t reserve anything ahead of time, but you could plan to stay overnight and enjoy other attractions in the area. I also took a boat through the Neyerfjord which was lovely but thought the Sognefjord just as good. The boat did have fabulous outdoor places to enjoy the cruise but they are all standing only. Take a fjord trip the experience is one of a kind!
