Comment: We traveled from Cancun to Isla Mujeres on a ferry, and it was a great experience. You can buy tickets on-site as well. The ride was very safe and smooth.

Comment: Please only purchase tickets from the ticket counter inside the station or from the official ticket machines. Avoid buying tickets from anyone outside, even if they wear Ultramar shirts and lanyards, as they may not be official staff. (I encountered someone attempting to sell me tickets to Isla Mujeres at double the price wearing an ultramar shirt.)
These individuals may claim another destination is “cheaper” or suggest the ticket machines are broken to discourage you from using them. The machines are functional, though the card readers can be a bit finicky and may take a couple of tries. Purchasing directly from the counter or machine ensures you pay the correct price and avoid any overcharges.
Aside from this, the port is very clean and comfortable, with a café and a convenience store similar to 7-Eleven. The ferries themselves are well-maintained and comfortable. The first two levels are enclosed and air-conditioned (bring a sweater if you get chilly easily), while the top deck is open—a great spot to enjoy the breeze, just remember to hold onto your hats!

Comment: The cheapest way to get to Isla Mujeres. Return ticket costs 580MXN. The ferry is usually full so there is a high chance of missing one and waiting in the queue for the next one. Boats are pretty new and steady.

Comment: I like the music that is played during the crossing instead of the sales pitch videos of other ferry services. Open seating on the upper level offers a good view and a medium breeze.

Comment: Loved this experience. They are very organized. It felt very safe. It’s not expensive. We had live music very pleasant. It rakes you to isla mujeres in about 30 min but the views and the sailing is so smooth. One of the most affordable ways to get to and from. I highly recommend
