Comment: Nice pier with nice view. Went there on a weekday around noon and there were mainly tourists and random people jogging along the promenade. The scenary is quite pleasant, when we add a star ferry into the mix, which enhances the vibes of the pier.
A nice visit for tourists and locals when they want to relax.

Comment: This is one of the piers where you can take the famous and iconic Star Ferry across the harbour to Tsim Sha Tsui. This company has been in operation since 1888. It takes only about 5 minutes to cross the harbour but it’s very scenic and incredibly cheap. This is a must-do for tourists visiting Hong Kong.

Comment: One of the best views you could ever have on Victoria Harbor. Simply take a ferry ride from TST, Kowloon and get to this side of the habor (Wanchai Pier to be exact). Take a lift or staircase to the roof and you are there. You can easily see people taking video and photos, including wedding couple with their relatives swarming the place.
The spot is halfway covered and nicely decorated with plants. The drawbacks, there is no public toilet in the vicinity and it’s about a hundred meters from the nearest MTR station (Exhibition Centre).

Comment: Taking the ferry is a more affordable option compared to the subway, with a fare of only $5 HKD to reach the Tsim Sha Tsui Kowloon ferry point. In contrast, traveling by subway from Wan Chai would cost $11 HKD. However, it’s important to note that the ferry station may not be as well-maintained and up to date as one might expect. Additionally, the ticket counter service is frequently unavailable, requiring passengers to use alternative methods such as the Octopus card or purchasing a coin from a vending machine.

Once you have successfully boarded the ferry, you’ll embark on a short but enjoyable journey. Moreover, the ferry ride offers a wonderful opportunity to capture stunning photos of the HK skyline across the water. The picturesque views and unique perspective make it a favorite among photography enthusiasts.

In conclusion, opting for the ferry not only saves you money but also provides a chance to experience a brief yet nice voyage with scenic photo opportunities. Despite the potential shortcomings of the ferry station, the overall experience can still be quite memorable.

Comment: Nice and cheap ferry fare. I went there on Sunday, no service crew at counter. You need to buy from the self help machine. One spoiled, one still function.
