Comment: This is what happens when the government runs a monopoly. There is no incentive for them to run an adequate number of ferries or have a reservation system that makes any sense.
The employees seem to enjoy the power they have over customers who spend hours and hours waiting in their car hoping to get on a ferry.
Please allow competition from private companies on these routes. It would result in a higher level of service and lower prices.

Comment: Very kind staff every terminal i visited while in WA. Everything was super efficient and super clean on board. Everyone social distanced well or stayed in their vehicles. Recommend purchasing ticket online [valid 90 days after purchase] and make sure to make a reservation and show up 1hr earlier!

Comment: I like the convinient of WA ferry provides, have been traveling over 50 times. Efficiency improvement is really required for the lineup at each terminal. A number dispense system would ease lots of stress from both staff and ferry riders. Just send people people away and allow them come back after each load only add more pressure and waste efforts, a smart checkin system needs to be in place for all riders. Look forward to improvement and ride with WA ferry next time.

Comment: Shout out to the hard-working folks at WS Ferries. Smooth service on Thanksgiving Day, not cheap but reasonable prices and ferries that in good shape despite being on the older side. Food is not quite as good as on BC Ferries but decent. Try the puzzles that are out on some of tables to keep you busy although it’s hard not to have your eyes glued to the breathtaking vistas when traveling through the San Juans.
