Comment: It is a little far from city center, but also it’s not really crowded. There are lots of baffle plates, so you can not get lost.

Comment: Warm welcome, much more than we expected from a stereotypical Finish boarder control. Even our camping box full of cold drinks was appreciated. Thumps up! 🙂

Comment: This is the old terminal. Not too many services here. If you need something, get it before coming here. Still works as a waiting area. Be quick if you want to sit down and not go to bar.

Comment: Great terminal. ePassport kiosk are tight here but faster processing than wait Passport booths. Tallink has also check-in kiosk that gives cards, St.Peterslines has regular check-in 1.st floor, Tallink 2.nd floor. Security screening on area, nothing on travel what Don’t take Airport. FSB / GRU least watch area like also local Police and border control and customs, not limited on terminal. OTTO ATM founds on 1.st floor, blue slot for chip cards (emv) cards go half in, yellow for MG cards. OTTO gives 20€ and 50€. OTTO had also TalletusOTTO and OTTOPlus machines some locations but works like ATM, deposit machines for local users, selected banks. Changegroup has some own Euro & currency ATM after enter ferry ports. Also cafe and kiosk public and over gate areas. HSL tickets outside kiosk, works Visa / MasterCard chip cards, coins and perhaps 5 – 20€, not all terminal eats notes but emv chip card. Best place change currency is Tavex, e.g Asematunneli (located corner after grocery store K-Market near enter train, also near Metro station Rautatientori, ticket hall) station) or Fabianinkatu 12. Buy day ticket city limit (Helsinki) or Expensive Seutulippu Regional ticket. Notice that Regional 2 is not valid on Helsinki and 3 is whole area. There is map. No cards on bus / trams and On-Line cards like Visa Electron/ Maestro won’t work moving vehicles. Small notes 5€ – 20€ and Euro coins. HSL service founds Asematunneli. R-Kioski sells most tickets HSL / VR (trains) / Matkahuolto (bus ticket, long lines) like event tickets. Tickets before are cheaper always.
