Comment: Woodside Ferry Terminal has undergone a lengthy renovation and it’s a bit disappointing. 1. There are two sets of double doors at the main entrance. One is supposed to be mobility device accessible. Push the button, both doors open, wheel through. Except only one door opens, when it works at all. 2. The second set of double doors is the same as first, except in all the years I’ve used it, only one door has ever opened when I push the button. 3. The escalators are often not functional. 4. Ditto the elevators. 5. There is no public art, no murals, no colour. Everything is black and white except for two small bulletin boards. The terminal gets used by a lot of people, but it’s just space.

Comment: Undergoing renovations and under construction right now, which is probably the best time, since passenger levels are almost non-existent. Staff was very friendly and helpful. One of the ferries is called Viola Desmond, which was really wonderful to see. Well kept, and efficient, plus gives you the best views of both Halifax and Dartmouth waterfronts while on your journey.

Comment: For tourists: CASH ONLY. you should have cash, and pay on a bottle exactly the ticket price 2.75.
To get coins there is an exchange machine inside.
This system is so old for 2023.

Comment: The renovations are beautiful, the terminal is comfortable and there are adequate washroom facilities and seating. Does its job perfectly.
