Comment: Awesome! You can catch the 3CNY water taxi from here to take a nice 45 minute ride (with 3 stops) on the Grand Canal. Make sure to get off a the large old bridge (Gongchen Bridge) as this is the last stop before the boat turns around. You can tour the ancient market town on the left of the bridge and there are nice cafes, souvenir shops and places to eat there. Very nice and prices are fair. Afterwards, take the 3 CNY water taxi back to Wulinmen Wharf and carry on with your day. The Wharf area is nice also, good views of the city and lots of interesting monuments related to the Great Canal. Use the bathroom in the Imax located in the shopping centre before the Wharf next to McDonald’s. Very clean and convenient before taking the boat ride.
